Ridgeway
This was my first foray into the world of screen printing, offering me lessons I’ve applied in every project since.
Challenge
I took on this commission because I loved this band, but also to challenge myself to create a design that would be used for screen printing — a medium I had never used before.
The Process
The singer of Ridgeway also owns a screen printing shop, so I was able to have an open and constant dialogue about what works best for screen printing. I was used to very detailed and texture-rich digital designs, and I learned screen printing needed to be bold and identifiable.
The Result
My first screen printed design that I’m deeply proud of. It was a limited run that sold out, and I learned so much insight into this process that has helped me gain more and more clients.
