Project Overview
Bar Boheme
James Trees’ vision for revitalizing the Arts District’s dining scene continues to flourish with the addition of Bar Boheme, an elevated French restaurant. I helped create branding, menus, and other design collateral for this project.
Challenge
This restaurant is linked to the Petite Boheme next door, and while they share a French essence, they are visually different. We wanted to ensure that Bar Boheme looked more refined and competed with Strip properties without losing its passion.
The Process
Bar Boheme borrows the bohemian essence that we utilized in Petite Boheme but pairs it with classical French aesthetics. I looked to the interior design to inform me and utilized the greens and golds found throughout. I also took influences from Alphonse Mucha and motifs found in the art nouveau era.
The Result
The branding I developed for Bar Boheme included a comprehensive visual identity system—primary and secondary logos, a detailed color and font guide, business cards, coasters, and fully designed menus for dinner, drinks, and dessert. The aesthetic was crafted to reflect Bar Boheme’s moody elegance while maintaining a playful edge, striking a balance that feels both timeless and current. This cohesive branding has not only elevated the guest experience but also positioned the bar as a visually distinct and memorable destination in a saturated market.
