Project Overview
Petite Boheme
My longtime collaborator, James Trees, set to open a new bar harnessing the style of Las Vegas’ Arts District. I stepped up to the plate to deliver comprehensive branding that makes a statement.
Challenge
Starting from zero gave us lots of freedom to experiment. We knew we wanted something french, artsy, and boundary pushing, all while ensuring that stakeholders were happy with the end product. This often meant frequent experimentation, edits, and adapting to new design directions.
The Process
At the beginning, all we had was the name which translates to “Little Bohemian.” I took inspiration from Art Nouveau movements and Wes Anderson’s designs to create something romantic. However, the direction of the bar quickly turned into something that was more urban, reminiscent of Bansky and Basquiat. From there, I pivoted to mirror this direction, while still keeping some of the colors and elements of the previous design.
The Result
The branding I created for Petite Boheme, including two logos, branding guidelines, a menu, coasters, and matchboxes, successfully blended their desire for experimentation and sophistication. This cohesive visual identity has helped establish the bar as a memorable destination, driving customer engagement and repeat visits. The thoughtful design elements have contributed to a refined atmosphere, helping the brand stand out in a competitive market and resonate with its target audience. They’ve already received coverage from local media sources for their unique and eye-catching style since its very recent debut.
